51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Relaxes COVID Protocol to Align with CDC

PLAINVIEW – 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University’s administration released a statement Wednesday evening informing employees, students and those visiting 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ campuses that WBU will adhere to the Center for Disease Control’s updated COVID-19 safety guidelines. The regulations will go into effect on 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ campuses immediately.

While the new guidelines relax safety standards, people are still cautioned to use their judgement on proper safety protocols for themselves and their families. Protocols will vary depending on campus location and state and local regulations. The new guidelines are as follows:

  • Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
  • Those who have not been fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged to do so, and should continue to wear a mask and physically distance until fully vaccinated.
  • Any individual who wishes to continue to wear a mask and physically distance, regardless of vaccination status, is encouraged to do so.
  • 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ will continue its sanitation efforts at campus locations, providing a clean, safe environment.

University officials encouraged individuals to continue taking personal precautions through the washing of hands, covering the mouth when sneezing and staying home or going to the doctor when sick.
