About Me: Hello! I am a Fort Worth girl at heart, even in a small town, I have big town roots. I am an only child to parents who were both teachers. Because of them, education has a special place in my heart. In my time here at WBU, I majored in Sociology and Criminal Justice. I minored in Spanish and Honors. I absolutely loved my degrees and the way they fed into each other. I was fortunate to be able to go on a study abroad tour to Costa Rica to work on my Spanish minor. I was able to get immersed in the culture and meet so many wonderful and unique people. It was a life changing experience. I also was allotted the chance to go on 3 mission trips to South Padre Island to minister to the visitors there and share the gospel with them. While in the Honors Program I crafted and presented my own thesis about high school history textbook inaccuracies and how they affect students. With this research I was nominated to present this research at the state capital. Though 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ has given me so much, my favorite memories of my time as a student come from the simple nights in the dorm laughing, talking, and fellowshipping with classmates. The movie marathon nights and adventures with friends made Plainview feel like home, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I stayed at WBU to complete my masters degree in Human Services. I now have the honor of adjunct teaching classes here at WBU as well as serving as the Assistant Director of Admission-Recruitment. I love 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ and I am so honored to get to help students find their college home!
Hometown: Keller, Texas
Favorite WBU thing: The people I have met here! God is so good in the relationships he develops here. I met my husband here as well as my best friends. Most importantly, I started my relationship with God my second semester at WBU. I accepted Christ surrounded by loving friends and staff. The people I have met here are lifelong friends and mentors.
Favorite Plainview thing: Leal’s chips and salsa!
Hobbies: Binge-watching Netflix, playing with my dogs, traveling, crafting, shopping, reading, and going to concerts.
Advice to Students: Get involved on campus! When you come to college, you get the chance to be the person you have always wanted to be. When you get out of your dorm room and experience campus life, cheer on classmates at games, and meet new people, you bloom into the person you were called to be.
