SUBJECT: STATEMENT OF STUDENT INVOLVEMENT IN INSTITUTIONAL DECISION-MAKING - EXTERNAL CAMPUSES
Students registered at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University's external campuses are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities and organizations that provide the students opportunities for input into institutional decision-making.
The executive director at each campus is charged with developing and submitting to the Office of the Vice President of External Campuses the procedures utilized by his or her campus to ensure that students are meaningfully involved in campus decision-making concerning matters that affect them and their campus. Procedures are reviewed annually during the month of June and any changes are to be submitted not later than July 15th to the Office of the Vice President of External Campuses.
The very nature of the external campuses requires the development of innovative strategies to ensure meaningful student involvement in the life of the campus. As a minimum, students at the external campuses should participate in the evaluation of faculty and courses taught at the campus. Personal interviews, questionnaires, and surveys should also be used to gain individual student input into areas such as needs assessment relative to new programs and services, evaluation of existing student services and programs, or improvement processes.
