SUBJECT: STUDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR PARTICIPATION IN INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS - PLAINVIEW CAMPUS

All students participating in intercollegiate athletics must be admitted to the institution using the same admission standards applied to the general student body. In addition to university standards that apply, students must also comply with the stated requirements of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC). Annual certification of these students is conducted prior to participation in their chosen sport(s). The certification process is under the direct control of the university's appointed NAIA faculty athletic representative and involves the university registrar, the director of intercollegiate athletics, and each individual sport's head coach.

Students are allowed to compete for eight semesters. After completion of the second semester of attendance and from that point forward a student must have accumulated a minimum of 24 institutional credit hours in the two immediately previous semesters of attendance to continue eligibility. Students must also be making normal progress toward a recognized baccalaureate degree and maintain the appropriate NAIA cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
