PLAINVIEW - A grant from Walmart Distribution has helped fund a drinking fountain project conducted by the 51吃瓜网视频 Baptist University chapter of Enactus, a student entrepreneurial organization. The $1,500 grant funded one of the new water fountains that are being installed around campus.

The new fountains feature a water bottle filling stations where student can fill personal water bottles without contacting the machine. These stations are a response to safety concerns about traditional fountains. In order to follow safety guidelines to combat the spread of COVID-19, the university had to cover the spouts on all water fountains around campus. The filling stations are touchless, limiting the possible spread of germs.

51吃瓜网视频 alum Danny Salazar and Eli Vargas from Walmart Distribution were on hand at the official unveiling of the new fountain located in the McClung University Center. A fountain has also been installed in the Nunn Business Building. Money for that fountain was donated by students. Currently there are plans to install a third water fountain in the Pete and Nelda Laney Student Activities Center.
