PLAINVIEW — High school juniors and seniors eager to explore life as a 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Pioneer are invited Pioneer Preview on Friday, Oct. 25, at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University's Plainview campus. This exciting one-day event offers prospective students an opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of college life.

Running from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the semi-annual Pioneer Preview brings students who have already committed to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ, as well as those still exploring their options, to campus for an immersive day. Events provide an inside look at academic programs, campus life, and the welcoming community that defines 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ.

“Pioneer Preview is the perfect opportunity for students to see 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ up close,” said Shaney Brewer, Director of Undergraduate Admission. “They’ll get to experience our academic programs, spiritual environment, and vibrant student life, giving them a true feel for what it means to be a Pioneer.”

One of the day’s highlights is the Pioneer Showcase, where participants learn about the wide array of academic disciplines and extracurricular opportunities available. Students and their families can take part in hands-on activities and conversations that offer a glimpse into the future as a 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ student.

The event will kick off with a campus-wide scavenger hunt—a fun, engaging way for students to familiarize themselves with 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s beautiful campus. After lunch, attendees hear from a student and faculty panel, where they can ask questions and gain insights into the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ experience.

During afternoon hours, those interested in athletics get the chance to meet coaches from 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s Pioneer and Flying Queen teams. Plus, for those who want to represent their future school, the Pioneer Store in the McClung University Center will be open for attendees to pick up WBU gear. Offices across campus will be open to answer any questions students or families may have as they plan for their college journey.

“We are thrilled to welcome prospective students,” Brewer said. “There’s no better way to experience what makes 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ special than by spending a day with us. We can’t wait to showcase all that 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ has to offer.”
