Jonathan Blackwell new Director of Development for Lubbock campus

LUBBOCK — 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University announces the appointment of Jonathan Blackwell as Director of Development for the university’s Lubbock campus.

Blackwell will spearhead fundraising initiatives for the Lubbock campus, foster community partnerships, and support the university’s mission to provide quality education grounded in faith-based principles.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan to our team. His extensive experience in development and his passion for higher education align perfectly with our goals,” said Dr. Judy Jarratt, Executive Director of the Lubbock campus. “We are confident that his leadership will significantly enhance our outreach and engagement efforts.”

Blackwell brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as Board Chair for The Medici Circle, which raises funds for the Texas Tech School of Art. He has been an active participant in fund-raising activities, working with a broad base of donors and prospects while cultivating productive relationships. Since 2019, he has been managing partner of Nashwell, LLC, and was previously associated with Ensemble Consulting Group as a digital design manager and workshop facilitator.

He holds a Master of Arts degree from Texas Tech university, a Master of Business Administration degree from Australian School of Business at the University of South Wales, and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Studies from Duke University.

Blackwell's appointment comes as 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University continues to expand programs and services to meet the evolving needs of students and the community. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in driving the university's development efforts forward.
