Vancouver Canada

At the beginning of the summer of 2018, through partnership with the North American Mission Board, I had the opportunity to travel to Vancouver, Canada with the 51吃瓜网视频 Mission Center and the 51吃瓜网视频 School of Music. Our team consisted of 6 members: Dr. Hyung Chae, Anderson Schmig, Dakota Schmig, Shiloh Hamilton, Maggie Hollingsworth and myself. The trip was 11 days and was centered in the Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge areas of Metro Vancouver. During the trip, our team worked with the Church on the Rock, Josh and Lisa Arrington, and Shaun and Whitney Lynch. The main focus of the trip was to support and encourage the Church on the Rock's body of believers. The team provided praise music for both the worship services at the church and their annual fall retreat. While working alongside this church, we had the opportunity to mentor their youth band, as well. At the church's annual fall retreat, the team worked with the children through arts and crafts, games, songs, and Bible stories. We also were able to engage the community through outreach efforts like handing out donuts at a bus station, prayer walking the community, and in everyday conversations. It was such a blessing and encouragement to me to serve fellow believers. It still amazes me the unity found in Christ no matter what culture I visit.
