Alumni Success Stories

51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ alumni have made a positive impact in a variety of career, volunteer and organizational opportunities throughout the world. These are just a few of their stories.

Chris Lethgo, Class of 2003:

Chris Lethgo earned his Bachelor of Music in Church Music from 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ in 2003. He's now the Executive Worship Pastor at Sagebrush Community Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is currently working on his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Alexis Hall, Class of 2011:

Alexis Hall, daughter of current 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ president Bobby Hall, is also a 2011 graduate from the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ School of Music with a bachelor's in Vocal Performance. Hall is currently a Certified Level 1 teacher with Music Together, an early childhood music and movement program for families in New York, New York, and pursuing a Master's in Education from WBU.

Chris Kirby, Class of 2013:

Chris Kirby graduated with a degree in Vocal Music Education in 2013 from 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ. He's now the choir director at Estacado Middle School in Plainview. Since then, the school's women's choir has won at sweepstakes and in 2016 the choir has had two Division I victories.

Paul Harkey, Class of 2003:

Paul Harkey earned his bachelor's degree in church music from 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University in 2003. A native of Plainview, Harkey knew he wanted to study music, but after a meeting with Dr. Scott Herrington during his sophomore year, he switched from trumpet to voice.
