Sigma Tau Delta
Sigma Tau Delta is the collegiate national English Honor Society. For more than fifty years, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ's chapter, Eta Theta, which has a large base of student participants and a culture of meshing scholarship with fun.
Members can submit and take part in yearly conventions and have access to scholarships and internships through the society.
Members host and edit Embers, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ's literary arts journal, which showcases students' art and literary creations.
To qualify, students must have taken two English classes beyond 1301 and 1302 and maintain a 3.0 GPA in all English classes with a 3.0 GPA overall.
Alpha Mu Gamma
Alpha Mu Gamma is the collegiate national Foreign Language Honor Society.
51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ's Beta Beta chapter has existed since 1961, and has a large base of student participants continuing the culture of celebrating language and scholarship.
Students who wish to join must have received a 4.0 (A) in two foreign language courses.
Spanish Club
The Spanish Club is housed in the Languages and Literature department, and is open to all students, faculty and staff.
Members meet regularly to share meals and converse in Spanish.
The club hosts a Thanksgiving food drive in November to benefit community members in need.
There are no requirements for joining other than paying a membership fee
